My System Specs

Default Dell UltraSharp U2711 or Samsung LS27A850DS

Since i do have some cash spend, ill looking for a new monitor in replacement of my semi-old Dell 23' 1080p monitor.

Thoses 2 in the tittle are very tempting but i don't which one could be right for me. Im playing alof at BF3.
The monitor will be plugged on a Evga GTX 680 Classified (card have been ordered but currently out of stock).

Any input/tips are welcome.

dell Ultrasharp U2711 = 749$ + Tx (shipping included)
Samsung (Ncix) = 749,989$ + Tx + free shipping

I have the Samsung LS27A850 and it is simply stunning.

Playing games on this may not be as enjoyable as a 120HZ monitor, but the colour and resolution wholly makes up for it. (Though I prefer my Asus VG278H for FPS games for its 120HZ capability).

Watching movies is pretty awesome too, the colour and viewing angle is simply in its own class, right next to the Ultra Sharp.

Everything about this monitor still leaves a big grin on my face, its colour, resolution, style, and of course, its flexibility at everything.

I highly recommend the Samsung monitor.

Sammy if games is your main priority. Dell if you care about warranty (IMHO their warranty > sammy). Dell if you care about photography and the like (wider gamut)....ie a good 'all rounder'.

Both are good kit. I personally prefer the Dell (via Dell WITH extended warranty...from DELL...when on sale ). YMMV

Anything under 9ms usually has no problem with ghosting. Haven't had a problem so far on the Samsung.

Hmm Samsung still has those issues with the different panels they use on one model ? Like the 226bw ?

Just to mention as well a lot of monitors' response times are the reported fastest they've gotten them to be, not what they average at, it can be misleading.
