Stumbled on this while looking at laptops.
Series 9 27
Any of you experts chime in?
Or are you still under NDA?
It just sounds like Samsung is just advertising that their PLS panel is calibrated from factory, and (probably) going to charge more than the existing PLS panels.
IMHO all monitors -besides ultra cheapo's - SHOULD be calibrated at the factory. This shouldnt be noteworthy....but it is. IMHO It underlines the sad state of the industry and it is terrible that reviewers such as myself have to spend so much time explaining how to FIX these bloody problems. Problems which should never...ever happen on such $$$ devices. Good for Sammy for fixing this glaring flaw....though I shudder at how much of a premium will come along with this "feature". :(
Be nice if it was 16:10
Then it would be a 30" not a 27 inch'er ;)
Why? My 27" is 16:10 albeit 1920x1200. I'd love a nice 30" 16:10 2560x1600. 16:9 is good for movies (what it was designed for) but uncomfortable (for me anyway) for working on.
24" ips or 27" tn and they are common but not the cheaper screens (I'd have one for working on and have my ips for games etc)
