Default Connecting PC to a HDTV.

#1) VGA-to-VGA

#2) VGA-to-Component

#3) I could also use component cables along with the tv-out adapter cable that came with my video card like the one highlighted in green in the following picture:

#4) DVI-to-HDMI

Which would produced the best video quality when connecting a PC to a HDTV?

Second. Although VGA and Component can both also support 1080P for your HDTV, a Dvi- HDMI cable will provide better video quality since the video signal remains digital from the source all the way to the tv instead of undergoing 2 conversions (EX: VGA to HDTV= Digital (PC) to Analog (VGA out) -> VGA Cable -> PC input on HDTV: Analog (PC in) to Digital (TV processing and display) ). You can see with that example how less conversions makes more sense, hehe.
