I figured it would just be a matter of time before someone here in Canada started carrying these. Cuts down considerably on shipping fees and eliminates customs and brokerage Think i just might pick one of these up this fall.

$365 is about how much you would pay for one off eBay. $300-$330 + duty, direct to your door in about 3 business days.

true enough, but to have it available here in town is nice,and especially if there are any issues with the monitor

This is my worry too.. Am SOOOO tempted but a dead/stuck pixel is a HUGE put-off for me.

You can find the "pixel perfect" versions of these monitors if you don't want to risk it. They're usually listed for $50 more, but most of them have an OBO option. I've read of offers being accepted for just $20-25 more than the untested versions.

Some sellers will adjust the declared value to avoid large duty fees as well.

Bought one last thursday, knocked at my door monday at 6 pm. Talk about fast shipping...

Box in great condition, monitor don't have any dead pixel (i'm no expert, but on all white and all black screen, everything is ok). 308$ US on ebay plus the 53 $CAN duty fee, i'm feeling this is a GREAT deal. That monitor is just gorgeous.

Ive been doing a bit of research in to these the past couple days, since the sale on the dell 2412m went up.

I'm really leaning towards one of these 27" ones, but with the broken english, and 400 auctions for what appears to be the same monitor(s) I'm having a tough time settling on which one to actually purchase.

Any advice? All I really care about is no tempered glass. I wouldnt mind the HDMI input, but it seems they all have additional cost. I really just want the cheapest price without hassles tho.
