No its not, only a select few can be overclocked to 120hz but still they aren't able to be used with 3D vision without some hackery.

Importing by Mail

Last I checked, you, me and everyone else paid taxes. Hell, even with 'free trade', we still pay the taxes.
I don't remember the defenition of duty, but that's another charge. There is still taxes on the declared amount though yes, here's the text of an email from the border folks

Quote:
Rates of duty vary according to the goods you are importing, the country where the goods were made, and the country from which you are importing them.

While the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) has rendered goods manufactured in the United States or Mexico free of customs duties, it does not exempt the goods from the application of the excise duty or tax, the goods and services tax (GST), the provincial sales tax (PST), or the harmonized sales tax (HST) if applicable.

Computer monitors are 0% duty rated, regardless of the country of manufacture.
Please note that, where applicable, the GST and the PST, or the HST, are calculated on the duty-paid value of the price you have paid for the goods converted into Canadian currency. Any excise duties or taxes may also be applicable.

More information on the importation of casual (personal) goods can be found in Memorandum D11-4-13, Rules of Origin for Casual Goods Regulations, which is available on the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) Web site at:
D11-4-13 - Rules of Origin for Casual Goods Regulations

Goods imported into Canada through the mail or by courier may be subject to duties and taxes in the same manner as goods imported by other means.

Canada Post charges a handling fee of CAN$9.95 for the customs clearance of dutiable and/or taxable goods imported by mail.

When goods are imported by courier, the courier company often uses the services of a licensed customs broker for customs clearance. The fees for these services may be included in the cost of shipment, or they may be charged separately. Fees charged by customs brokers are not regulated by the CBSA. If you have questions about the customs brokerage fees that may be charged on a courier shipment, we suggest you inquire with the courier company before using their services.

Further information on mail and courier imports can be found on the CBSA Web site at:

Should you require additional assistance with your inquiry, we recommend that you contact the Border Information Service (BIS). You can access the BIS line free of charge throughout Canada by calling 1-800-461-9999. If you are calling from outside Canada, you can access the BIS line by calling either 204-983-3500 or 506-636-5064 (long-distance charges will apply). If you call during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, except holidays), you can speak to an officer by pressing 0 after you have made a selection of one of the 4 menu options.

Thank you for contacting the Canada Border Services Agency.

I'm going to request fedex, and supposedly they can call me once they clear customs to tell me the door bill. It's getting close now, under 6weeks and it should be on my desk

Hey Alpine, any updates on your situation?

I finally got a message from red-cap 2 days ago asking me for the S/N of my monitor.

I hope none of you that just ordered have any problems.
