Gotta say I absolutely love the colours on the Samsung 27A850D, I'd recommend it in a heart beat.

I'm running 3 23 inch monitors and I find the majority of the time I have one disabled so I can SLI without Nvidia surround.

It would be nice if it was fully functional but it's not and there has been no attempts by Nvidia to solve the issues. Next time around with displays I'll be doing a single 27 inch and a portrait 21 inch beside it for screen real estate.

This is a really good thread and I read all your posts too. I've been ho humming about 3x displays for months and months and then wondering why I would spend that much money when I could get a single 27 or 30 inch quality monitor and less hassles. I think I'll save my beans for a larger quality monitor than eyefinity. Thanks for all your input!

You're going to want to save some more beans as you are going to want to be running 2 cards even with AMD for eyefinity. See you have a 6970, you're best bet would be mirroring that and getting a second. Otherwise, enjoy playing at lower game qualities with the single card.

I'd stay away from eyefinity/surround setups unless you need the screen realestate. For gaming I honestly don't think it is that good. The monitor bezle really ruins it for me.

I also have a Samsung 27A850D. Best Panel on the market right now IMO. If you got the coin, definetly go for it.

I'd recommend getting either a Samsung 27A850D, or U3011/U2711 and then a secondary monitor for other app's you keep open.

Thanks. I've decided to hold off as my 1920x1200 24" is still getting the job done. I might opt for bigger later in the year.

It's probably the best route, not enough games probably support eyefinity/surround, and it can be a headache trying to get it to work, or only being able to use 1 of your three monitors to play the game you've been waiting for all year.
