I have a 2500HD monitor/tv from sammy, and I love it.

But honestly, try to find a 120Hz monitor, ASUS makes some really good ones, samsung as well(though they are almost to large and tend to mess up and not worry about fixing it) Acer as well can be a good choice.

I would say 120Hz 1920x1080 or x1200 and from 24-27inch for screen size, this should help narrow it down some, I havent been looking for one for awhile since I got the 2500HD, sorry cannot be more help, many of my buds have various ASUS ones and they love em.

I recommend the 23" IPS from Dell when it goes on sale.

The 23 Dell UltraSharp U2312HM monitor I mentioned is LED and IPS and is $319 regular but goes on sale a lot, usually at $239, it was $229 last week.

I would say the vast majority of people don't need/care about a monitor having HDMI. Monitors don't do audio so for video a simple HDMI to DVI cable works fine. I own about 6 monitors and none of them have HDMI, I have a Dell U3011 on the way and would have too look to see if it has HDMI since it is a feature I don't really worry about. I only use HDMI for TV's or Projectors.

You will be very happy. I own a U2211 and a U2311 and I'm happy with both. I've used the U2312 and it is a bit nicer than those monitors.
