Playstation 3D Display for PC gaming

I play a lot of PS3 as well as a lot of PC gaming, and I'm wondering if the Playstation 3D display will work fine for 3D PC gaming.

My setup is just a i3 2120 with 6870 1 GB but I'm looking to expand in the future.

Here's the link to the screen

Basically it's a 24" 1080p 240 Hz LED LCD Display for $500.

Well, it's obivously going to be an HDMI connection if it's PS3.. so if your vid card can output in HDMI, I don't see why this wouldn't work on any standard machine. It might require some kind of drivers though, that I would assume someone would figure out and post, if not supplied already

Why not get one from a Best Buy or Future Slop and find out? Their return policies are fairly generous.

I noticed something special about the panel today when I saw one at the local Best Buy: It looks to be more than a 1080p panel. The pixels were way too small to just be 1080p.

It might not be, but I have a sharp eye for these things, and there is NO way it's just 1080p.

The 240hz will likely be useless for PC because it is frame creating technology which 100% (so far) introduces input lag.

You're going to need a better graphics card to run 3D on the computer as well, as I'm not sure of well if at all the 6870 can run 3D games.

In order for 3D to work you need a few things to be checked. Your monitor either needs to be HDMI 1.4 or if it is 1.3, it must be on the list of approved displays from nvidia. Second, you need an nvidia video card for 3d. ATI only has support for DLP IIRC or just movies, I'm not sure though. They definitely don't support gaming.
