Default LED Monitor/TV for gaming

Hey everyone. I've recently finished what parts I was going to buy for my rig and now I'm stuck with the last component, the monitor. I cannot for the life of me figure out what to pick, so much that I asked my tech-savvy friend for help and he referred me here. So here I am asking what you guys think is a good LED monitor for playing games. I have a budget of $400 and i would like a monitor that isn't bigger than 26'. I'm also open to buying an led tv instead of a monitor as long as it fits the two points I stated above. Hope you guys can help me out. Cheers!

When I did my monitor buyer's research recently I had the BenQ XL2410T (among others) on my list. It was the only one that happened to be LED lit. Here's a review BenQ XL2410T Review.
Though I haven't seen it in action so I can say much about it.
