The words TN and wide color gamut are mutually exclusive IMO.

Now you have me confused :s. I wasn't asking for a TN with wide color gamut. I DON'T want a wide color gamut.

What I am saying is that the colour quality you will get from TN will look like junk compared to IPS panels.

IMO look for a used Dell 3007WFP for about $700-800 or so. S-IPS, very low input lag, 16:10 AR. Only thing is you need a video card that drives dual-link DVI (do not confuse this with having two physical DVI ports).

What about the TN panels? Are the not even worth considering?
Prad.De measured it at 21 ms in regular/non-game mode, which is approximately half the U2410 in non-gaming mode. The ZR24W is claimed to be 10ms by TFTCentral.

Both levels of input lag are low and shouldn't be a problem for pretty much any gamer.

I agree with SKYMTL about TN panels. Also there are TN panels which have input lag too. So you can have a fast panel with slow electronics.

The Asus doesn't have a game mode as far as I know. So is that in sRGB mode?
