Stuck between a couple TV's

Hey,

I know this isn't really the forum for this but i think i can get some good opinions here.

I am stuck between a few TV's. I just bought a
house and am populating my "man cave" i guess and i am not sure which to get

here are the ones i have been looking for. I would like to keep it around 1000 dollar. I am open for suggestions of any other tv as well

Samsung 46" 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV (LN46D630)

or
LG 47" 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV (47LK550)

or
Samsung 51" 1080p 3D Plasma HDTV (PN51D550)

Thanks
SKW

Dude, I have the previous version, my parent got that exact TV last week. Let me tell you the image is enough to jizz on that TV.

jizz on that TV.

I'd have to advise against doing that.

I didn't even consider sharp as I have only heard bad things about them

I have an lg plasma from last year and I love it but the glare sucks. Look at LED and I have read great things about the sharp tv's as well. You need to read reviews and for me the most important was learning how to calibrate it well. I feel that is what sets my tv apart from my friends. There are always on standard settings and contrast is way to high blurring detail. I feel my set went from ok to great with the proper calibration.

where do you find out how to properly calibrated it?

This Dvd is known to be pretty good. Avia is a little out dated but it works well. The custom settings usually aren't good for the lighting in an individual room. You can also have it professionally calibrated but that will cost like 300 dollars. I find these dvds/blurays do a pretty good job of giving you a decent picture compared to presets.
