My System Specs

Default Good 24 inch monitor sub 200$

Hello, do you have any good suggestion for 24 inch (23.6 asus one minimum) monitor for sub 200$ (210 max shipped).
I already have a LG flatron wide 20.1 inch 2000:1 contrast, 5ms, 1680*1050 and god know I love it (for 4 years now), but I want a second monitor and a bigger one.

I will use it to game (PC and PS3) so I want at least 1 HDMI and 1 DVI input.
I don't care about speaker.

Oh and, I read a lot of text on my computer so I want a screen with sharp text. And I don't care about viewing angle since I'm directly in front of my computer.

So do you have any suggestion?

The one I have in sight
NCIX.com - Buy LG W2442PA-BF 24IN Widescreen LCD Monitor Black 2MS 10000:1 1920X1080 1080P HAS Tilt Pivot HDMI DVI - LG Electronics - W2442PA-BF - in Canada

NCIX.com - Buy ASUS VE247H 23.6IN Widescreen LED LCD Monitor 1920X1080 2MS 10M1DC HDMI DVI-D VGA Speakers - ASUS - VE247H - in Canada

NCIX.com - Buy BenQ E2420HD 24IN 16:9 Widescreen Black LCD Monitor 2MS 50000:1 1920X1080 2XHDMI DVI VGA 4XUSB Hub - BenQ - E2420HD - in Canada

or any other.

The second one seems to be good for your need.

I have 3 of the first one in eyefinity and love them. They have tilt, height and rotate adjustments, enough inputs and pretty nice screen quality for the price. I've seen them as cheap as $175 on sales at CC and NCIX lately.

I have had nothing but good experiences with the multiple ASUS VE247Hs but there are reports by people of ghosting, although I personally never noticed anything of the such!

The LG. Non-existent input lag, amazing motion handling, near 6500K and greyscale and 2.2 gamma without calibration, great contrast and black level, non-existent to extremely low backlight bleed (amazing for a TN panel), great matte finish, good ergonomics.

This. How could I forget. I am such a whiner when it comes to input lag, I notice the slightest amount. I find vsync laggy on every screen I've ever used. Even my current PC I noticed it, but once I got these monitors I couldn't really tell any more. It is extremely responsive, and I couldn't be more anal about that.

I have the ASUS one at home. It works great and won't make a hole in your wallet.

If you buy it, adjust the contrast and brightness to 60%. Some people were saying the colors were awful, me being one of them, up until they've modified the default setting to 60%.

Played Crysis 2 and Portal 2 on it, no lag noticed. (Brutal, I heard the same thing but never noticed any on mine)

Pros: Price, bright colors, no lag, ASUS product = ASUS support
Cons: Only forward tilt, vertical viewing angle
