Default Lets talk 27IN monitors

I know the best 27IN monitor is the Dell U2711 with a Res of 2560x1440.

I more interested in the 1920x1080 27IN monitor. Because can't afford the DELL. Believe me I wish I could afford the Dell.

Out of the less expensive 27IN monitor which one would you suggest.

If you cannot do the full 27" 2560 x 1440 consider a 24" 1920 x 1200...Samsung are a good brand, however I don't know much about 1920 x 1080 screens.

I'm thinking of getting the ASUS VE278Q Monitor.

What are your thoughts on that monitor ?

P.S. But I will tell you guys now if I could afford a Dell. I'd be getting either the 27" or 30" Dell.

I had it. Image quality, design, build quality is great off the box. I didnt have time to set the colors properly.

I only reason why i sold it, is 27" is too big (with a 1080p res) to where im sitting usually.

As rj said, don't bother with a 27" if you can only afford the 1080p models. Get a 23-25" instead. Otherwise text and stuff isn't going to be as sharp looking as the pixel pitch is simply too large on a 27" with only 1080p resolution for typical desk sitting positions. If you sit pretty far back from your monitor though, then I guess it might be okay.

So you are saying a 23" 120HZ 1920x1080 Monitor would be better than a 27" 60HZ 1920x1080 monitor.

I really must disagree and say the 1920x1080 27" is still definitely a fantastic experience coming from lower resolutions.

It's perfect for gaming and general use, although the higher res on the dell is very nice, 1080 is still awesome on a good screen.

I bought a dell 27" but i also have a 27" LG and i swear you can barely tell the difference, they are both stunning displays. If the dell broke i would be more than happy to just use my 27" LG.

And the LG was half the price.

Good luck :)

Once again......24" 1920 x 1200 Res will outshine ANY 27" 1920 x 1080...

What if I have my mind set on getting a 27" monitor ?

P.S. Doesn't it really come down to which monitor I like the most. I've personally always had an LG monitor. I think I'd be happy with the LG 27" monitor.
