Thumbs up

Great review, thank you.
Very disappointed in the remote, its at the heart of the interface and should have been thought out much more carefully. Hell, considering the high end market this tv is aimed at they should have included a Harmony remote.

There is a reason ALL Harmony remotes include physical buttons while their highest-end one has a huge touch screen...small buttons just don't work.

As for heat issues, there weren't any but the charging cable did get quite warm now that i think of it.

I got the pn50c8000 an I would say it is a great TV although it is a plasma. I don't know that I would spend twice the amount for a tv that is likely not any better. I love the 3D although I use it only about once per month. It is still a great way to experience some movies. I have noticed ghosting, however, I would associate that more with the content than the device, given that it doesnt happen with some titiles and sparatically with others. I would not say this would deter me from using the 3D more so the cost of glasses. Thankfully it is just me and the wife, but if you want to have friends over it to much. It certainly would be a budget buster with this tv.

Have you noticed any buzzing on your Sammy plasma? Every one I have had exhibited either a low tonal hum or a high pitched whine.

A mere 5 grand lol. I had a touch screen remote and hated it. Bought a cheap harmony that has real keys and it is 100x easier to use.

To be honest with you, I'd actually pay 5 large for this if I was going to hang it on the wall. It really does look that good...

On a side note, I'd love to see this thing be sold without a such a fancy remote at a slightly lower price.
