1080p tv or 27" lcd
 

so my question is do i get a 27" lcd monitor or a 30" 1080p tv as i am finding it hard to read my current 23" from my normal sitting position. Cost is a factor i have been looking at either

27" Dell Monitor or a 32" Sharp Aquos 1080p LCD tv.

I think you'd find the monitor much easier to read. I have hooked my gaming PC up to my Aquos 46" 1080p for a few experiments, and found the text fuzzier and hard to read.

Believe it or not, gaming on my 24" monitor 2 feet away is more immersive than on the 46" 6 feet away.

Personally, I wouldn't use a tv as a desktop display because they use panels with higher dot pitch. It's also my opinion that 1920x1080 is too low a resolution for a 32" desktop display unless there are special considerations.

If you were looking at the U2711 I would take that in a heartbeat over a 32" TV. This is from someone currently using a 27" display that uses the same panel and who has also used a Sharp Aquos 1080p 32" as a monitor in the past.

ok. so then my next question is will i have issues driving the 27" at it's native res with a GTX 560 TI

It will be doable, just don't expect max details.

i never run at max details. i first max out the res then bump up the details until it's unplayable then back them off. I can't stand fuzzy screens.

Yeah as low fat said, I also love my Dell U2711....superb monitor and I also have tried my Rig on a 46" Sharp Aquos.....no comparison,........

then i guess my last question is will i still get the same dell warranty if i buy the monitor through say ncix.

ok so i took the plunge and got one. I was able to Pricematch it locally to 746 :)
