ok so i took the plunge and got one. I was able to Pricematch it locally to 746 :)

Good deal? Pretty sad those nice monitors are so expensive.

Tell us how it is in GAMES...especially shooters if possible...

i will :). and i'll take it at 746 instead of 999. But sometimes things are worth paying extra for.

Just FYI (too late now I guess), NCIX only carries 1yr on the U2711 where as through Dell is 3yr.

I paid $771 from Dell with some coupons and sales. Kind of thinking about getting a 2nd but it would just be such a massive width.

It's an awesome monitor though and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

i actually got it through a local computer store and they list it as having the 3 year warranty so if it doesn't i'll raise hell :)
