Default Worth going to a 27inch Monitor
I currently have a 21inch monitor, there seems to be alot of people going to a 24 or 27 inch montor's.

Is it worth it? I rarely play games on my PC.

bang for buck no. f you dont game..either, and if you dont need it for work too? 24 a ll the way. sammy makes nice and cheap units. cheap as in price.

What do you typically do with your PC? You might enjoy multiple smaller displays rather than a single large display.

I love my 27" display, although a good 2560x1440 display isn't cheap and it takes quite a bit of videocard power to drive.

I have used a 30'' and a sinlge 24'' then finally went for 3 X 24 ''. For gaming, this is amazing, for watching movies, Meh, since getting the center screen to fit correctly, it's a pain. I do disable my SLI for movies. But only for movie, I still use 3 screen for surfing, what is better than HWC, you tube and some nfl page going at the same time ?

I really like my Dell U2711 ...definitely worth the $750 (look for a sale)......the U3011 would be even better, but at $1500 ...wow...that s steep.

Absolutely worth it. I love being able to have 2 windows open side by side and still not have to do any sideways scrolling.

Or, if you really don't want to play any games/movies and you just want the monitor for productivity, just grab another 21"

I love my 28" nothing wrong if you can get one and want it i would probably not do it again but i don't regret it at all

Its totally dependent on your usage and how you react to bigger screens. Some people get slight nausea and neck tweaks from the bigger screens, others cant go back.

If you dont game much, do you do photography? You might really benfit from a PVA or IPS panel instead of a huge TN with terrible color shifts.

You can get a great 23" IPS u2311 from Dell right now.
