This is probably true, not a bad strategy I suppose since so many just want "the big flat screen".

I'm hoping for some good things from the Samsung D-series but if they keep the same shitty 55" panels from the C-series, I'll likely avoid them. Seriously, let's go back to the excellent 52" panels that literally every manufacturer had at the beginning of 2009.

I'm also looking for an lcd I can game on. I was going to go for a 46" samsung C610 or 630 until I heard about the "samsung panel lottery". Now I'll be looking at lg or maybe a sharp.

Me and my 2 friend are gaming on Projectors (1080p) because at that size Xbox 360 and PS3 look like crap (jaggies everywhere)... and it's great ;)

I hear SOME good things about the 2010 XBRs but there is no way I would spend $4.5K and risk the backlight bleed some are experiencing.
