27" Dell $757 free shipping.....thinking of getting this one...$1200 for the 30" and a few extra lines of Res seems a tad much...

Buy Dell Computer [U2711] Dell Ultrasharp U2711 27IN Widescreen LCD Monitor IPs 2560X1440 6MS 80000:1 DVI-D HDMI DisplayPort

Yeah I'm thinking of pulling the pin on it.....hope I wouldn't regret not going with the 30" 2560 x 1600.....threw my 32" LCD TV on my Desk and it seems way too big...this 27" isn't too much larger then my present 24" 1920 x 1200....I'll ponder it for a few days ;)

2560 x 16000 and 2560 x 1440 are in a whole different league then "cheap" LCD's........

Anyhow..cheapest I found the Dell 30" is $1299, so:

16:9 = $757
16:10 = $1299

Sucks to always want the best ;)

Exactly. Large quality monitors don't drop all that much in price. Just look at the Dell 3007WPF. 3 year old design and it still sells for over $1000 most of the time.

Personally I say go for the U2711. You will not be disappointed. Gaming @ 2560x1440 is very enjoyable.

I'd almost considering buying two of these to play @ 7680x1440 but I do not want to know what kind of videocard power I would need to drive them.
