You probably did a while ago but we should be at a point now where it doesn't have that issue with current panels. If you need an explanation of the different panel types look
here. If all you use your computer for is web browsing, email, etc. then a TN would suit you fine. For anything else like gaming and media, definitely go for MVA/PVA or IPS. Way better colour reproduction than TN's, and better viewing angles (IE the colours will hold up at higher angles). Dell monitors are always a good choice. Check to see if they are TN though, cause nowadays they have TN's using their Ultrasharp moniker, which they never used to.
