If your end goal is the 3007WFP, save your pennies until the Dell Deals... it routinely goes on sale for about $900.

Just a word of caution: The 3007WFP-HC, which is the updated 3007WFP Dell is now selling, is an undefeatable wide-gamut monitor. You'll be stuck with oversaturated colors in almost every application. The U2410 has an effective sRGB mode, which will allow the user to view movies and games the way the creators intended.
