Default Eyefinity Setup

So i finally got around to trying out eyefinity and love it with my 2 monitor setup. So much so i want to get another monitor. But here in lies the issue. Currently i am using 2 Samsung 2494 monitors which i love. But my desk has limited area in which to place monitors. I would work fine if i used a 3 monitor mounting bracket but i have yet to find one that supports 24" monitors that isn't $400. for that price i could make one for a lot less. Also i would like to stick with the same monitor for the third just so lights and colors stay uniform. I realize that my monitor of choice does not come with a DP port but i imagine i could just use a dvi to DP adapter. Probably from monoprice. In terms of gpu power there should be enough as i have 2 5770's in CF.

You need an active adapter by the way, these are a lot more expensive ($100 I think).

been doing some more research and well it looks like the DP adapters are a less then perfect solution. So i am now looking at monitors that support DP. ideally i would not like to have to replace my 2 existing monitors and was wondering about just adding this dell one to the mix. DELL UltraSharp U2311H 23-inch Widescreen Flat Panel Display : LCD, Flat Panel & Widescreen Monitors & Accessorie | Dell Canada and using this stand. You have some issues I can see.

1) What is the mounting specs on your Samsung? I'm reading they are 100x200 in some places, so they will not directly fit the mount you picked.
2) The u2311h is smaller, I believe your Samsungs are 24 inch? This isn't a hard limitation, but it might be weird to look at.
3) If the bezels are off differing sizes you will have some problems using Bezel management, since it only works for bezels if they are the same size.

I considered getting the 24 incher. but unfortunately the next 24 inch ultrasharp that has DP built in was around 549 which put it out of my price range. All i was worried about was matching resolutions. I am going to be using the dell as the primary front face monitor with the 2 samsungs on the side. In regards to the mount i thought about this and will probably end up making my own mount as it will be cheaper and fit better. Look for a build log on this. If the bezels prove to be a real big issue then i will just have to replace them with 2 more 2311's.

The u2410 actually would've been a bigger problem as it is a 1920x1200 (16:10) monitor, and while a lot more expensive, other then in size/resolution is actually arguably worse in a lot of areas then u2311h.

As for the u2311h, I have it and it really is the best all around monitor at the ~$300 or less price range in my opinion. I managed to get a panel without any problems, but I've heard (if you look online) a lot of earlier buyers especially were getting units with bad screen uniformity.

Just a heads up, the u2311h is apparently on sale at the moment for $250 off dell.ca , I bought mine for $290 off an earlier lesser sale.
