Nvidia 2D 3D surround vision

Just wondering if anybody is using Nvidias solution instead of Eyefinity and if or how you like it?

Anybody ?? I ordered 3 Dell u2410 Ultrasharp monitors , should be here Mon and I would really like to know if anyone has or had any problems or issues with setup or useability

It was quite easy to set up. Overall the experience is quite similar to eyefinity. I don't find the requirement for two cards to be a problem either because realistically if you're pushing 3x HD resolution you should have two cards anyway.

:bananafunky::bananafunky::bananafunky:Finally all 3 monitors are here and set up ,still got some fiddling to try and looks like I will be getting bigger vid cards soon (my 275 GTX's are struggling a little) but way cool and easy to set up . No display port adapters or anythin else required

I've got both nvidia's surround and ati's eyefinity, I've found that a single 5870 is more than powerful enough to run 3 x 1680 x 1050 at max IQ on all current games. Nvidia's surround was equally easy to set up and use, but 2 gtx 480s (in my case) create so much noise and heat that i just have to give the nod to ati on this one.

I've also got 3d on surround with the gtx 480s, From my experience 2 x gtx 480 is BARELY enough to run 3 x 1680 x 1050 with 3d enabled. (close to max IQ) So if your planning on 3d in the future with your 275s get the 480s first... and a set of good active noise canceling headphones... and a personal air conditioner ;D

I am ordering 480's soon but they will be watercooled ,gotta let my wife get over 1.5K worth of monitors first. I dont really care about 3D yet , maybe in a couple of years. I am running most games at about 6025? X1200 on the 275

i'm seriously thinking about watercooling mine as well, Though after spending 6k on the unit already i'm not looking forward to another grand.

as far as 3d goes, its nice... but you get used to it pretty fast, then its not special anymore and is more of a pita. especially useless for fps games.

I know what you mean ,I was hoping to hold off on the 480's untill this fall when I build my 980X system , but I'll have to buy them a little sooner ( wink wink).
The surround is pretty cool though

surround is worth every penny. i've been using triple monitors for a couple years now. I got my first with matrox's triplehead2go for FSX and havnt looked back. Eyefinity is waaaaaay better than th2g, and nicer than nvidia's, but nvidias works as good and is a bit easier to setup than ati's, though ati's is hardly difficult.

Welcome to Surround gaming my friend. You'll not be disappointed ;D
