22 Inch LCD monitor selection?!
 

Hey guys, out of the 2 which one would you buy when you could get both for 299$ each?

Of those 2, I'd take the Samsung ... although I'd probably spend more money and get a monitor w/ a better panel, personally.

I would lean towards the lg.. mainly cause i have had more success with them... I only had 1 sam.. and a few issues with it...


the one thing that is annoying is there is no dvi cable with lg's....

currently I am on a L226WA

Really isn't a "better" panel due to all low end LCDs being a TN panel and some of the 24s will be the SIP (i think thats what it is) and even then they are going to TN I've heard.

And those two I'd go with Samsung.

I'm happy with my revent LG purchase (same panel, diffrerent model), and since then I've heard some other raves about it, but also have heard concerns about ghosting although there's no ghosting here- I chose mine based on a side-by-sode comparison

I just bought that exact same LG model and it is brilliant. I sold my Dell 2407WFP-HC and was forced to go with a smaller budget unit and it has not disappointed me for a second. Best looking TN I've ever had the pleasure to use.

I think you misinterpreted what I was trying to say which is that I would not buy a monitor that uses a TN panel (as those 2 do). Monitors that use MVA, PVA, and IPS panels cost a lot more money (thus why I said I'd spend more money) with even a 20" PVA monitors starting around $400.

I got my 24" LG MVA panel on sale at FS for $549. Ran it side by side with the 22" Samsung and there was no comparison. the lg was superior in every way, even gaming.

Your LG is almost double the cost of the 22" Samsung. I really want to know how the two 22" monitors stack up against each other.
