Buy both from Futureshop/Best Buy, use both for a few weeks, and return the inferior one.

My System Specs

I saw them side by side in a store before I made my choice and the LG had a clearer sharper picture. As for the trolls and their more expensive models, no need to keep bringing that garbage up when the OP wants an opinion on these 2 screens. Seriously guys, noone cares if you spent more money to make yourselves feel better. That is not the topic. Spam elsewhere.

I have been considering getting a new 22" Widecreen. The nice thing about them is you don't need to spend alot of money to get a goo unit these days.

I really haven't seen or used a Bad 22" yet. Sure, it's not medical grade quality or anything, but compare these things to the $1000 15" screens just a few years ago, and they are sooo much nicer to look at! The newer acer screens seem to look promising, but I won't know for sure until I see one. I like the LG screens. Tons of brightness if you need it. The samsung screens are great quality, but it's not really noticeably different from the LG/Benq/Acers. I haven't seen a viewsonic in a while, but they do make very good screens as well, if you can find them.

I think I am going to go with the LG 22". It seems the Samsung is very hit and miss with the whole A, C, S panel situation. From reviews more people seem to like the LG compared to the Samsung.
