My System Specs

Default Dell 2209WA or U2311H

Title says it all. Since they're the same price, I'm slightly worried about the 8ms response on the U2311H for games, but you do gain another inch. Also, there have been reports of tinting. The 2209WA is slightly smaller, 16:10, does 75Hz, but only has a DVI and VGA connection and is EOL.

Opinions? I'd like to order soon.

there's also the resolution difference.

if you don't care about the 23" extra res, or the extra inputs, i would go with the 2209wa just because it's a proven performer.

If you don't mind the aspect ratio then go with the 2311H, for the lower price and the right aspect ratio (as many would say), the 2209WA. Either way you can't go horribly wrong.

16:10 FTW... 2209WA. Love mine. Will never get a 16:9 for PC use, silly.

And I doubt you'd notice the difference between 6ms and 8ms.. I didn't notice going from 2ms to 6ms.. this monitor runs at 75Hz as opposed to 60, whatever difference that makes?

75hz makes a huge difference in many ways. Among others reasons, it's very important for a gamer. Higher is preferable, but the only way to go higher right now would result in getting a TN panel or getting a CRT.

The 2209WA is really the only monitor I'd even consider using right now. It's just that good.

It's an excellent monitor. Perhaps not the best for FPS games, however it's great for RTS games.

^ You want to elaborate more on that statement? Or provide a much better alternative, 'cause that seems wrong in many ways.
