Smile Monitors

Sounds like a sweet deal. I can't imagine what eyefinity would look like, awesome, obviously.

Smile New Monitor

I wonder if it's better to simply purchase an lcd or plasma. By the time you add it all up, you could get a 52",
maybe better if you shop now that 3D is out.

cant you just overlap the bezels, why do they need to butt up?

You could overlap them, but I hate the way that looks. It creates a small gap and shadow that (I think) looks terrible. I like the clean lines of thin bezel monitors butted up against eachother.

*edit* but still a good deal for a single 27" monitor for gaming. Especially a good deal for console gaming.

I've used my 52" LG LCD HDTV for text/Intrnet browsing without difficulty or eyestrain. I'm on my 24" monitor now though. But using a good HDTV seems to be almost as good. A little lower resolution, but the size makes up for it.

Thumbs up New Monitor

Yeah. I love it. Next for me is to get a 65" plasma because of the 600 Hz refresh rate and virtually no latency. I may consider one of those if the price is right there with the plasma. I understand the new LED tvs use the best of both. Getting a little off topic. Sorry Mr. Mod.

If you live near any of the stores with stock, I'd suggest picking one up if you want 27": Canada Computers - Acer B273HU 27" Widescreen LCD Monitor 2048x1152 - 5ms, 40000:1 DCR, 400cd/m2, VGA/DVI/HDMI, 3 USB, Height Adjustable - Retail

Well in CRT they were best of best but in LCD's they have lost few feather. But build quality is still decent. Service is a story I can't tell you about since I never use a viewsonic LCD but I know that in quebec Tanguay are doing the service for it. I was looking for a new screen to plug my PS3 near my computer this could be a good one:)
