Hmm it seems it is a stuck pixel as it is bright blue. I tried the massage technique but it did not work. I also used some app but that didnt work as well. Damn!

Hi bobaban,
Here is a good link with detailed instructions on the various "unsticking" methods around:
How to Fix a Stuck Pixel on an LCD Monitor - wikiHow

Good luck!

Fixing a dead/stuck pixel very seldomly ever works and its best to just live with it.

Hehe, when I read that one should massage the d/s pixel I thought you were j/k. It never dawned on me that this can work sometimes. Neat.

Hey man like they say Your Mileage May Vary. Does it always work...nope. Does it work often enough that it is worth a try...Yes. DOA pixels usually are just that: DEAD. I have brought a couple back from the dead but most likely that was cases of stuck pixels, and not really ALL dead. "Mostly dead" or "Stuck" pixels are usually unstickable...not always but enough that its worth your time.

Honestly, will he be any worse off if it doesn't work?

Reminds me of a quote from the movie Princess Bride:
"Miracle Max: OH hu hu, look who knows so much. If he's mostly dead, that means that he's also a little alive... If he's all dead there is only one thing you can do...go through his pockets for loose change"
