Default BenQ FP241VW

anyone know why nvidia drivers wont let me change the refresh rate on this monitor? its at 59hz and wont change, i pick 60, it asks if i want to keep settings, click ok, and nothing, still at 59..

Odd...but it's 59 vs 60. Does it really make a difference?

no difference, but i think this monitor should be able to do 75hz, but for some reason it wont even let me change it to 60.

There's a trick to doing this, create a manual profile for the monitor. You then get the option of picking the resolution and refresh rate. For the refresh rate, set it to just an edge over 60hz. Something like 60.001 or something; as long as it's the slightest edge, it'll put it at 60hz.

Try installing the monitor drivers from BenQ. Might solve things.

It's not the monitor drivers, it's the nvidia drivers that does this. It's a known problem.
