Default DVI to HDMI

Recently purchased an Asus VW246H monitor and i want to check out hdmi, can someone let me know what kind of cable i should be getting, I have seen some HDMI to DVI-D cables for around $12 but I am unsure if that's the right cable.

Is this good enough?

That will work. Personally I would buy a DVI-HDMI adapter for the video card and then use an HDMI cable because you can use that HDMI cable else where as well because it has more uses.

You won't actually see a difference going from DVI to HDMI then just DVI to DVI.. unless your monitor is HDMI only? I haven't seen one of those however.

as bojangles said, probably best to use an adapter - especially if you need to lengthen the cable in the future.
