I have the Benq E2420HD, and can verify that it is a damn good monitor. 0 dead pixels, no problems with it in the past 4-5 months. Bought it for $199 at NCIX during a sale, was an excellent price then, and still is apparently. I have it on my main system and have an xbox360 connected to it. The base is solid (not wobbily) and straight forward.

I have not seen the ASUS monitor you mention in person to compare to.

As for the Samsung monitors mentioned, they are similar (if you can pricematch) and it all comes down to which brand you like, or what specific specifications you're looking for.. or price.
