Default Response Time or 120Hz?

Okay, here is something that I don't quite understand: Which is better for those fast-pace moments? The 2ms reesponse time monitor or the 120Hz monitor?

I wouldn't worry about response time anymore. Average is around 2-5 ms, which is pretty fast. There's also only one 120 HZ monitor out so far (correct me if I'm wrong here), and it's a 22". Therefore there's plenty of options.

120hz gives the option of nvidia 3d and should also reduce the effects of 'tearing' that you get with higher than 60fps on a 60hz monitor. Not sure about anything else...

120Hz displays will also support 3D Blu Ray.

120hz for 2d gaming adds for a much smoother more natural like feeling as well as a reduction in ghosting. Acer is coming out with a 24inch 120hz display for gaming. Don't bother with the Samsung 120hz unit since even though it has fast response time, it still suffers input lag.

Ghosting doesn't seem to be much of an issue on current LCDs, at least not to a point to bother me much. It would be nice to be able to stop using V-Sync, however.

A combination of both is required for the best. As mentioned, response times nowadays are pretty good, for the most part. All you gotta worry about now is the hz and input lag.

Ghosting bothers me on current LCDs. Try turning quickly on an fps and discern details at the same time.
