My System Specs

Default You have $209 to buy a monitor...

Do you go out and buy a Samsung P2370 (LS23EFHKFV/ZC) at $209

OR

do you buy the ASUS Designo MS226H (MS226H)?

Bascially, I know Samsung can put a good product out there, but I'm worried about the blue/red hue and poor blacks that the P2x70 series apparently has.

The Asus MS226H has LEDs which save both electricity and allows for deep blacks. It is thin and is just as unique as the design of the P2370(non-hd tv), but having a 16:9 ratio screen in a cabinet that is closer to 4:3 REALLY makes my eyes trip balls... or is that my ego?

Bigger is better IMO. A 21.5" 16:9 screen isn't going to look very big, even my 22" 16:10 screen is looking small these days...

And well Samsung is a rather reliable name, so I'm just assuming it'll look decent.

If you're upgrading from a 17" CRT, any LCD will be amazing.
I voted for the Samsung, just for the extra size.

Not sure what you're looking - whether to game or photo/video edit but this monitor is being sold on the forums and is a great deal.

FS: Benq 24" G2400W LCD

24" monitor with a full 1920x1200 resolution. Comes with hdmi, dvi and vga.

Xbitlabs.com recently did a techical review of all of the new Touch of Colour monitors, looks like they all did very well. The P2370 had a tested response time of 4.1ms on "Still mode", RTC errors of only 8.8%, which is very very good compared to most monitors that pass through their labs.

So often nowadays companies make response time claims on their monitors that are just outright false. Many 2-5ms monitors end up easily in the double digits, because there doesn't seem to be any standard, and most people can't really tell the difference anyways.

Here's a link:

Roundup: New Samsung Touch of Color Series (page 10) - X-bit labs

I recently bought myself a P2270 and I couldn't be happier with how it's been performing.

Have you ever compare these 2 screen side to side:P we have them both at job and the Asus have some of the worst color I ever saw in my life. The samsung is not one of the best they ever made but it's still good. And green:P
