Default Help me pick a monitor

In need of a new monitor size I rmad my vw246 at ncix and ha been backordered fpr 2 months so I ordered a vw266 and nowtheyre out of stock. :( soi am looking for a new monitor between 250-450. Must be min 24in. I am a gamer as well so it would have to have a good response time. Last I need to buy from a place that I can have 0 dead pixel coverage. Any ideas?

Unless you want something at 2ms response time and well you know those response times are the fastest they were able to get at ideal conditions. this one is onsale 83$, not a bad price for a 24" monitor and its from asus. Buy the ASUS VH242H 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor at TigerDirect.ca

You visually can't tell the difference between a 2ms and 5ms response time.
A 2ms response time means its refreshing at 500Hz
A 5ms response times means its refreshing at 200MHz
The human eye can't tell the difference of an image over 30-60 Hz a second
Also not every company runs their response times the same as well, some do black-white, some do colour, there is no real standard between companies.

For the record, the average human reaction time is 150-200ms.

I can testify that I have not noticed any problems with my Dell U2410 which has a response time of 6ms according to Dell. I have tried it in DiRT2 mostly where I could notice a difference.

I had been eyeing the VW266H before I bought my U2410 and I was very tortured about this decision. I've read many good things about and heard good comments about HWC users who bought it.

One of the most current respected Gaming monitors for Price/performance is the ASUS VW246H 24inch. 0ms input lag with 2ms response. I have personally used this display unit and can tell you for a TN gaming monitor at $226 Can it's a steal.

If you want better wait for the new 24inch 120Hz monitors coming 2010
