Default Looking for a new monitor- Input?

Hey all, I'm sick and tired of running my games on this puny 22" samsung, I want something bigger, better, and higher resolution.

The maximum height (with stand) of a screen that my desk can accommodate is 21" from desk to the top of the highest point on the monitor. I'd like a 1920x1080 or bigger resolution and a 26" or bigger screen.

Budget, while not unlimited, is fairly open to a reasonably good value (another word for "cheap").

I considered this 28": NCIX.com - Buy Hannspree HANNS-G HG-281DPB 28IN LCD Monitor Black 1920X1200 800:1 3MS VGA HDMI - HG281DPB In Canada. and I can get it for 400 shipped to my front door.
I also looked at 30" monitors, and unless I can find one used I doubt I will be spending that much. I also considered getting a 32" HDTV (1080p of course) and running that.

Any help/info/suggestions/opinions/ etc are appreciated. Feel free to PM if you've got something for sale I don't mind buying used so long as you take care of it.

I read reviews of that monitor and it said the quality was good, just the warranty that sucked.

Besides, I want something BIG and 24" is not big enough.

I am in the same boat as you, I have read about the Hanns-G and considered it, but right now I am leaning in favor of the Asus VW266H. The price is great, it has many options for conenctivity. It is bigger than 24inch, but not quite 26.

The asus is promising, however the mail in rebate really bothers me when for ~50 bucks extra I can get a 28" screen... Wish more people would come over and give some advice.

i have 1 of these not the greatest viewing angles on it but great picture and value Buy the I-Inc iF-281DPB 28" Widescreen LCD Monitor at TigerDirect.ca
but there's also Buy the I-inc iH-252HPB 25" 1080p Widescreen LCD Monitor at TigerDirect.ca and at that price if you don't like it you can sell it pretty easy.
