Default Good LCD for $300?

Planning on ordering a new computer within a few days and am still not sure on a monitor. I will be gaming on this computer and want a fast response time and i would like a 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 res. Any recommendations?

I would seriously consider this monitor for a little extra cash. It's a cPVA panel, much better than TN.

NCIX.com - Buy Samsung SyncMaster F2380 23IN Widescreen LCD Monitor cPVA 1920X1080 5ms 16:9 150000:1DC DVI-D VGA - LS23NVTABW/ZC In Canada.

Careful buying Dell products off ebay . Warranty....etc may be questionable .

Check out the Dell.ca website and have a look at the 23" monitors too .

I've got one of these DELL S2309W 23" 16:9 1080P FHD Wide Flat Panel LCD Monitor : Monitors & Monitor Accessories | Dell Canada

as well as one of these in a dual screen setup and like them both DELL SP2309W 23-inch Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor with Integrated 2.0 Megapixel Webcam : Monitors & Monitor Accessories | Dell Canada

Talking about Dell's monitors, I'm surprised the 2209WA hasn't come up. 22" IPS panel for $370, what's not to love? Given the frequency of Dell's sales, I wouldn't be surprised to see this baby drop to the magical $300 mark from time to time. I snagged my 2408WFP during the epic Dell Days of Deals promo, and I couldn't be happier. I do share nitehawk's skepticism about buying them off ebay though. I'm only really comfortable buying used gear off people I know and trust, and you don't usually get that on ebay.

i was thinking of the 2209 but I want a 1920x1080 res or 1920x1200. I wouldn't be buying used they are brand new. But anyways I won't be buying anyway, they are apparently bad for gaming since they have a high input lag. I am willing to spend a bit more but don't really want to spend more than 450. I guess I am looking for a TN panel since ips' are too expensive. Looking at either a Benq, Asus, or a Samsung. I have 2 weeks till my pc arrives so I have time to decide :)

Have to say +1 for the Samsung.

Though it's a new type of panel, it does look promising.
