Default DVI-D to HDMI vs Component

So, picked up a 40" toshiba Flatscreen and a Shaw HD (non PVR) Cable Box yesterday for our bedroom.
I was somewhat surprised to realize no HDMI "out" on the Cable box, only DVI-D.
So, question is, any picture quality difference using DVI-D to HDMI cable vs Component Cable?
the HD Cable Box is only capable of 1080 interlace (vs 1080 Progressive Scan) and reflects this with the Component Cable utilized.
I did purchase a DVI-D to HDMI Cable for cheap ($35), but thinking of returning it. Note, if I use the DVI-D to HDMI cable, i have to pick-up an Audio Left / right output to single input....seems odd, but the Toshiba TV only has a single input Audio jack that is on the same "line" as either the HDMI #1 input and PC input.

Both Component and HDMI do 1080p. So you won't notice any video quality difference.

Create something idiot proof and they will make a better idiot.

Yeah no point, especially when its only 1080i max.

Only reason I used HDMI on my cable box was because it was a native HDMI port so it does sound too, thus less cabling. Can't say I noticed any quality difference though.
