Default Dell 2209WA or Hanns-G 27.5" LCD?

Well I'm thinking about selling my precious Dell 2209wa to get a HannsG HG281DPB 27.5" LCD (TN panel) 1920x1200.

Upgrading to a 24" isn't worth it in my opinion. I'd prefer to go in the 27"+ area and it's the only screen I could afford. Let me know what you think, is it a wise decision? I read quite a lot of reviews on the Hanns-G and it's pretty much 50/50. Some people really love it and other despise it (color shift, poor viewing angle, cannot discern details in black/dark area (gaming wise)), ghosting?

I really like the Dell 2209wa but it's a tad too small for my taste hmm

Not worth it with the loss of quality so far down. Save up for the Dell 2709, I had it and it was AMAZING!

Agree with b1lk1. Everyone is different but imo bigger is not better simply because it's bigger.

Can these 32"rs even compare in quality to a good monitor? You can get some amazing colour monitors upwards towards ~30, but I'm sure none of them use high quality ips/tn panels...or if they do, my guess is you'd be looking at 1500+ for a 32" screen with said panel type.

The S-PVA and S-IPS used for the HDTV aren't bad, but you need to shop around for the right display. I based my LC-32GP3U HDTV monitor purchase decision on what people have said about how it holds.

LG uses S-IPS. Note that you should dial down on lighting level in using the HDTV at close range.
