whats is a good monitor that can double as a TV

I pretty much live in my Bed room and well that is where I have my PC and My TV I have my TV hooked up VIa s video and the sound from my tv to my receiver via RCA . now what I would like is a monitor / tv up to 26" what are your suggestions. oh I always am using head phones for both TV and PC but I would like to have the monitor have a Head phone plug in so I can turn my reciever off it produces major heat which is pretty good in the winter time buit man does it get hot in my room in the summer time.

i think you'll have better luck and it will be cheaper to buy a highend tv

+1 agreed with gingerbee, what i use is in my sig and it works great. Only thing i had to do, which i mentioned in another thread is set the resolution setting to Just Scan as monitors have slightly different amount of pixels then TVs do even though they claim the same resolution.

i just ordered a samsung t220td from ncix for the wife to replace the 32 inch
i had verry bad luck with that daytek 32" 2 of them averaged 40 days n now the psu on it went after a year
dont cheap out get a good brand with a good warranty
i'll be gettin it next week i hope it will be nice + i got the 0 dead picsel warranty
was at a freinds pc shop today and he had installed a 42" plasma i gotta say it looked nice but a bit big as a pc in my view

Depending on how large you want to go, I picked up one of these to use primarily as a TV.......

The price was better than any LCD TV I could find, and I'm happy with the results. I know they also have a 26" version, but I'm not sure how well that compares price-wise to getting a standard 26" LCD TV.

One of the main features this has that sold me on it is the ability to set the aspect ratio for viewing an SD source on a widescreen. The cheap 26" LCD TV I had prior to this monitor did not have that ability so all SD sources ended up being stretched across the entire screen. I just double checked, and can verify that it also does have a headphone jack.

The only issue with the monitor is that the tuner does not have an SVideo input so you either have to use the standard cable, or a high-def (either component, HDMI, or DVI) connection.

Good price SSWILSON, if you don't need the tuner this would be a good option . I wanted to get a new LCD TV for the bed room but this looks to be a very good alternative add a TV tuner card in to my second PC for $100 or so and media center and I'm done.
