Monitor disasemble (updated)

I was wondering if anyone has ripped apart a 19" lcd before and actually used it apart.
What i want to know is if there is a way that i can run my three 19" lcd's side by side without any bezel around the screen.
I want to do away with the black bars between the screens that are in this pic.
Is this doable ? thought id ask before i rip mine apart and wreck it.

Even if you took the bezels off you're still gonna be left with a 1" silver border around all the panels. While this is less than what there is now, you'd have to find a way to darken that

Enaberif is right. I've taken apart a new laptop LCD's and your still left with a 1/4" metal frame. The other problem is the frame holds every together. You would have to construct a new frame to hold all the panels together and upright. Probably not worth all the work. It would be a cool project though.

Im guessing you're around the mississauga/toronto area then...?
i just came back from school... i got thre 48 mins late (thats a first...) and promptly left, finding no teachers, and having 4 people tell me its a snow day. 4hrs on the transit wasted (i go to gordon graydon, the best business school in mississauga)...

Anywhoo, i slipped 2 times on a 20m long stretched from the parking lot to my school....... its pretty icy people, be carefull.

As for the panels, dang man thats a pretty good f'in job. Dual 88's... 2gb of pc8500.... i doubt he's ever headed for the poor house man.

Interesting idea there with the panels though... would be interesting to slap some bondo inbetween em, and make a nice "one-piece" monitor, with a good stand to support it at the back. Great idea though, i had 3" between my 17" crt and lcd lol that wasnt pretty. Allright for cad though...

Kudos to you for trying!
