PS3 Audio Using T240
I own a samsung t240 and i just got a new ps3. the monitor has an hdmi input so i can hook up the ps3. i have yet to buy speakers (im using headphones for my computer) but how do i hook up audio for the ps3?

i saw on the back of the ps3 it has optical.
is it possible to run that to the back of my computer into my sound card, then have the sound produced through some speakers?
if so, what settings would i need to fix?

You have many options.

If you have a receiver with hdmi through and through you can have an hdmi cable going into the hdmi-in and another cable from the hdmi-out to the tv. Then have the received connected to speakers.

-This is what I personally did with my ps3
You can just connect the hdmi from the ps3 to the tv. Connect the optical from the ps3 into the optical in for a receiver (a pc should work, if you have an optical port). You'll have to go into the ps3, goto options (can't remember if these are the correct names for the tabs in the xmb), goto audio options and switch your audio output from hdmi to optical.

or you can just do the same thing with the previous option, but instead use the audio components of your red yellow white cable, and connect that to your speakers.

There's an 3.5mm jack for HDMI audio out on the back of the monitor, just plug the speakers in there unless you need to use the optical output.
