I would've loved that 27" screen for my build Deathspawner.
I saw the review at Anandtech and while you might pay an extra $50 bucks for the aluminum over plastic I think it would look cool + durable. But the price is $1000 more than the 22" Samsung I got /cry = for the $1400 price of the 27" screen alone I got almost my whole new rig with a 22" screen...

Just checked and it is on sale now for $1200.

I think DELL LCD's are sexy, but i havnt owned one yet. I have a HANNS-G HW191D, but i keep hearing wonders and reading great reviews on DELL LCD's, so my next will probably be from DELL. :)

I finally took the plunge and bought the 22" Dell widescreen this past weekend. I lucked out and got it for 325.00 taxes included but had to pick it up myself. BIG change from my viewsonic 17" CRT. I was totally blown away. No dead pixels but there is a tiny bit of light bleeding on the bottom edge in the centre. Hardly noticeable. Awesome screen for the price. I would recommend it for someone on a budget.

I'm going to go pick mine up tomorrow morning, paid $350 for mine.

It actually arrived at my house yesterday, I was at work, but was pleasently surprised that Purolator has a new depot which is only 20 minutes from my house rather than an hour away.

I'm just getting the monitor for a secondary computer, sticking with my 19.8" Sony monster on my main rig for now, I'll post back with my thoughts on it though.

I got a 24" 2407WFP Dell monitor. It is awesome and only one dead pixel! The dead pixel only shows up on some colors like black. The monitor is amazing and only a few older games I can run at 1920 x 1200 on my 7600 gt ***. I am building a new rig for my monitor at the end of the summer hopefully. I also use the monitor for the 360 and what an improvement over s-video. 1920 x 1200 on my 360 is awesome.

How do you check what panel you got? I hope I got the Samsung panel.

I have the same monitor. It simply rocks. It's a Samsung panel and it looks awesome. I got it for $169 during the 10 days of deals just after Christmas. I didn't even need a new monitor it was just such a good deal, lol.

I was looking at the SP2309W as well as it's only priced a bit more right now . I compared reviews and the S2309W seemed to get better reviews although I like the added ports and a few other features on the SP2309W .

$169 is an awesome price but not at that right now

Anyone out there compare or own both the S2309W and SP2309W ? I'm thinking I may go for that SP2309W as a 2nd monitor at some point in the future . Running a Dell XPS 435mt BTW , seems like a solid unit so far and Dell has fixed the noisy fan issues some were complaining about in reviews.....way quieter that my POS Gateway P4.

I expect at some point when my youngest son is home from Afghanistan next May and on leave from Edmonton he and I will be looking into some builds which he's really into and I'm just in the learning stage
