Hello I am new here because someone over at ncix told me to ask my question here. Anyway I am desperate for help picking between the Samsung 2443BW vs SyncMaster T240 because I have looked at reviews and the ones I found are split for both of them due to the whole TN panel thing (which is not a factor for me). I will be mainly using it for movies and games on my home system as I stated. So again can someone plz help me make up my mind…..I am so Undecisive when it comes to this type of thing |

I am not that worried about HDMI because I will be hooking it to my computer and be using it for gaming If I bought a DVI (I think) to HDMI cable would that make any difference between the two? ( I am just worried about image quality and the colors of them) |

Based on your comments I would go with the 2443BW. I just got this monitor and it's fine. They have this model at Future Shop but they only have the Type 1 stand. If you buy it online then you can get the monitor with the Type 4 stand which is what I recommend. The price is less than the T240 buy quite a bit too. There is slight backlight bleeding but I guess that's acceptable for a TN-Panel and Samsung does have a reputation for some backlight bleeding on their LCD's. No dead or stuck pixels which is great although I did buy dead pixel insurance when I got this monitor. Let us know what you decide. |

Well I have stopped using the 49-parallel account but I am the same person.... I am going to go to future shop Monday and have a look at the 2 lcds in person for myself personally I find it hard to decide just by looking at a picture and reading so many mixed reviews on both products |

Hiya there, first post although I don't know why. I've been lurkin' around heres for quite some time! Anyways, to business. I came across this while Googling for the Samsung 2443BW. Gameplaywarrior, Canada Computers has that monitor on sale for $335 until October 15th, 2008. I would normally post a link, but the forums won't let me...sooooo just mozie-on over to their site and take a look. What's better, is that they have one on display there in plain view with their other LCDs, and since it has a HAS (Height Adjustable Stand) you really need to see this sucker...that's how I noticed it! Looks very cool. Gonna head-down to the Scarborough location tomorrow. Can't wait!
