@Jmac, I didn't say every company did it, but I have been in stores and checked setting on monitors and LCD TV and many are set way to high for brightness and contrast. Catches peoples eye when they see a very bright display... |

I just finished buying the Samsung 2493hm from Future Shop, it came to $450 including taxes. I must say I'm highly impressed with the monitor. Hell, I like more than the Dell 2408 I had for a short period of time (painfully bright, plus the backlight bleed was horrendous). It rotates 90 degrees, had hdmi inputs, usb inputs, and looks great. Fantastic buy IMO. I think this is the last day to save $30 though.
