Look at this link:
I don't know anything about AMD, but wouldn't it be better to get a 5000+ for $199, than a 4800 for $273? (8.99 shipping too)
Are the ones you have all 939 or something?
yeah sorry i marked it in the top they are all socket 939
S.V.P Mon homme arrete!
Please! r0k0! Stop putting money on your s939 rig and put it back for a while until you finally get enough to get something better! Or wait for some good deals on Forums's FS sections!
Just my 2 cent! lol
If you really can't wait... I'd get the Opty! Im sure even you could Oc it to 2.6Ghz easily! These chips are proven to overclock pretty well. Even the ones with bad stepping (weeks and batch) have showed to be able to hit 2.6Ghz - 2.7Ghz easily! I know a cool guy that has his at 3.2Ghz with a little custom Swiftech Apex Ultra watercooling kit. You probably know him... It's SirLink!
What mobo and ram will you be using with it ? (If you actually decide to get it...:bleh:)
sirlink just sold his to llerenaprincipe for 120$ USD and he want to sell me his 100$ USD but i dunno if it include shipping...
but i only want to upgrade the CPU since the rest is still a good board and ram
Asus A8N32-SLi Deluxe and 2GB OCZ Gold Gamer XTC DDR-500 and i got both my 7900GT SS in SLi all i need is a nice CPU like the 4800+ i'd love and gaming would be a charm...
unless patriot you lend me your X6800...
Opteron 165 for $100 is far less than most people are asking for them. Snatch it up RIGHT NOW. If you decide not to keep it, you can always resell it for $175-$200.
Get the Opty you non C2D lover! http://www.hardwarecanucks.com//imag...273e55fd1f.gif
Go with the Opteron, dual core 939 CPUs are getting tough to find.
just bought it off from him...
gonna need to sell my 3700+ has of now :)
If those are your choices/prices
The opty is the best performance/price value.
