I wouldn't get the E2000 series since the 1MB L2 cache is a pretty serious bottleneck in various games.

The E4000 series is good, but the cheapest one I could find is a $120 E4600, and at that point it becomes a little silly not to spend the extra $5-10 for an E7200, which is the best Bang for the Buck chip on the market.

For that price range, the E2180 or E2200 is your choice. The E2200 is around $85 plus tax on pricecanada.com.

I couldn't find E4500's for under 130.

I've built a few business systems with the E2180, it's ok and I've heard they have a fair amount of headroom in them for OC, but I haven't tried twisting any of the ones I built.

I'd say E7200 too. Spend the little bit extra and get something half-decent. It's 45nm too so it's already 5-10% faster than the 65nm counter-parts, plus the added L2 cache. And best of all it should run cooler so you can OC it even more

Ah, so a fairly low resolution.

An overclocked E7200 is definitely what you need not to severely bottleneck your new system.
