Wow-just checked the Easter sale at NCIX and purchased the AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ for an amazing $228. Building my computer -1st time and from what I read this seems to be a better bang for the buck cpu than the 6000. Happy camper here,lol.

I'm sure that with a half way decent motherboard you will be able to reach the same overclocking results with a 5600+ as I was able to with a 6000+. Enjoy your new chip.
