Default MSI B350 Tomahawk AM4 Motherboard Review Comment Thread

With AMD's Ryzen processors settling in, conversation has shifted to motherboard selection and the MSI B350 TOMAHAWK begs the question: do you really need X370?

Microcenter makes B350 motherboards redundant, as good X370 motherboard from Asus/MSI is only 10-20 USD pricier than B250 motherboard. In Canada the price difference is 50-60 CAD, so B350 makes more sense.

I just now signed up to this site but i'm hoping in future reviews you guys and the rest of the reviewers would start showing VRM temps as its kind of important to know currently NO B350 board can handle a 1.4V 3.9-4.0ghz Ryzen 7 without the VRM shooting to 100+C. Meaning don't expect the board to last long.

I have no idea why this isn't being talked about in reviews?

I didn't check the specs of this board in particular but the temp is only important if the VRMs are rated at or below their actual operating temperature. Being at 100 isn't a death sentence if they're rated to operate up to 150c
