Default ASUS Shows off X299 RoG Motherboards

ASUS Republic of Gamers motherboards are making their way over to Intel's X299 platform in a big way. The Rampage VI Extreme. Rampage VI APEX and STRIX X299-E Gaming all look like excellent additions.

Rampage VI Extreme: Best looking board I've seen to date. Maybe something like that on its way for Ryzen?

I think there's more likely to be something like that for Threadripper rather than Ryzen.

I have to say I am liking this trend of extending the shroud or whatever from the lower heatsink out towards the slots. Several of the manufacturers are doing it to varying degrees. Makes the boards look very clean I think. Always liked that way back to the early Sabertooth "armour" stuff.

I don't think it's the best looking motherboard. They just went overboard with more RGB just like other manufacturers and now OLED is also becoming a fad with RGB. Most of the higher-end X299 motherboards I've seen focus heavily on RGB (and OLED for ASUS). I've only seen very few that don't focus on RGB like being in Las Vegas.

You mean the X399 Zenith Xtreme or the Gigabyte X399 motherboards?
