To be honest they should have kept the same kind of theme and color appearance as the X99 Deluxe II and X99 Signature series without a heavy focus on RGB's. It also looks like the Deluxe series are replaced by the Prime Deluxe which would indicate a branding change as well (Deluxe has been Deluxe for many years now ever since LGA775).

I'm with Dark Knight, I liked the X99 look a bit better. I would have like to have seen the TUF armor cover a little more on the Mark 1, but it's still a nice looking board. Edit: Actually it looks like it's got a lot of coverage, maybe just the cpu and 8 ram slots are throwing me off.

I'm most impressed by some of MSI's offerings on this Chipset. But we'll see how pricing and availability fare out....

The stock promo photos make the X299 Deluxe look worse than they are in reality.

Looks fine with the LED lighting off.

Not really in my opinion. Compare the look of the X99 Deluxe and the X99 Deluxe II and you will see that this isn't the Deluxe III. The fact that ASUS is also using the Prime branding instead of their Signature series also confirms this is a new brand. Also look how out of place the plastic is on the SB area on the Prime Deluxe and compare to the X99 Deluxe I/II.
